Pomeranians - Clubs Activities
Fanciers of Pomeranians may join Pomeranians clubs. The clubs strive to do everything possible to bring the natural qualities of Pomeranians to perfection. Protecting and advancing the interests of the breed is done by encouraging competitions at dog shows and obedience trials. Clubs conduct specialty shows and obedience trials according to the AKC rules. Clubs urge members, breeders and judges to accept one standard of the breed.

Pomeranians - Why Adopt a Rescue Dog
A Pomeranian is bright and attentive, alert to strangers and generally good with other pets. At the same time, these dogs have a strong mind of their own. The Pomeranian requires a confident owner. A Pomeranian owner will have to deal with heavy shedding of the breed, and the necessity to brush and comb, barking, housetraining difficulties. If you have chosen the Pomeranian as a pet, consider adopting one. When you get an adult dog, you get a personality with its unique features, which is both challenging and beneficial. Rescue Pomeranians are trained. Though, some of them can require some brushing up of the doggy rules.

Pomeranians Puppies - Pomeranians are Toy dogs whose appearance and functions changed in the course of time. From a dog weighing about 20-30 pounds and used basically as a herd dog the Pomeranian made a great leap to a tiny companion. The 20th century is thought to be the Pomeranian's rise in terms of popularity. They are distributed mainly in the UK and the US.
The American Kennel Club set the breed standard which points out the acceptable height and weight, states characteristic traits a purebred Pomeranian should display, and enumerates a number of features, the owner of which is doomed to be disqualified.
Pomeranians Pictures - Pomeranians are used primarily as companion dogs. They are said to deal better with elderly people, and older children. These tiny dogs demand careful treatment, and tend to be snappy when someone hurts them, even if it is unintentionally.
However, there is no reason to assume that Pomeranians behave as if they were the kings of the world, whose every wish is meant to be realized by their owner, and any discomfort inevitably causes outrage. Pomeranians have a compactly build body. A short neck proudly carries a slightly rounded head with a short, fox-like muzzle. Ears are small, and medium sized almond eyes give an expression of alertness. The nose is black, or self-colored.
Pomeranians Breeders - Pomeranians are believed to have descended from ancient Spitz-type dogs. There is evidence that the Pomeranian's ancestors existed in Egypt, since their drawings were found in ancient tombs.
However, conventional opinions state that Northern regions, perhaps, Siberia, were the first homes for those hardy, weather-resistant dogs. Their physical qualities were successfully used in pulling sleighs, and warning about danger.
